Gruenhundstrasse: Parc Disneyland

"Parc Disneyland" is what the French call Disneyland Paris. But this is how you have to say it: "Park Diz-neigh-lawn."

At the end of our trip to Paris, we went to Disneyland.

We got to go into the park two hours before the general public, since we stayed at one of the Disney Hotels. I guess no one else took them up on that offer, since obviously we weren't the only ones staying at the hotel...

But as you can see, we were the only ones waiting to get in at 8:00 AM.

Yeah...creepy. Disneyland with no people.

Umm.....again....no people....

No people on the rides. (Except us.)

Yep...that's all us. Mom, Me, and Kieran. (Okay, there was one other person on the ride. It was Dad...he's taking the picture.)

Pirates of the Caribbean is all inside a big castle with a pirate ship out front. And when you are walking through the line it is impossible to see because it is so dimly lit!

Here's "Le Chateau de la Belle au Bois Dormant" which means, "Sleeping Beauty's Castle."

You can go inside the castle and read the story in French and see the pictures in the stained glass windows.

Here is Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. We can see it from the Haunted Mansion. You actually go under a lake to get to the mountain. (The ride goes through a cave under the lake, and the majority of the ride is on an island apart from the rest of the park.) Way cool!

Next to Disneyland there is another park called "Disney Studios." Here is Kieran attacking an Army guy at the Pixar Toy Story Parachute Drop.

The best ride (between both parks) is called Crush's Coaster!!!

It's only at Disneyland Paris (Disney Studios) so if you want to experience it, you have GOT to come and visit!!! You go inside a building that makes you feel like you are at the docks at night time. You climb into a giant turtle shell that basically turns into a roller coaster through the East Australian Current.

The roller coaster is not a traditional one, because each turtle shell is individual and feels like it's free-spinning as it goes along the track, so sometimes you face forward, and sometimes you face backwards or sideways.

At night they have a really cool water/lights/fireworks show called "Disney Dreams." It was cool because part of the show featured all the Disney movies that took place in France like Beauty and the Beast, Ratatouille, and Hunchback of Notre Dame. At one point they made the castle look like the Eiffel Tower. Another time it looked like the Notre Dame Cathedral. And although a lot of the songs were in English, they sang "Be our Guest" in French. It was super cool.
