"Kediler" means "cats" in Turkish!

Here's the view of Turkey from the port of Kusadasi. Notice the red Turkish flag with a crescent and a star.

If you are ever in Turkey and you want to make a wish, just write it down on a piece of garbage and tie it to the wall at the Virgin Mary's house. Apparently when the wall gets all filled with wishes, they burn the papers and the smoke travels to heaven with your wish...I guess.

They didn't let you take pictures inside Mary's house, but there was a nice statue on the outside. It was very small and humble on the inside.

After Mary's house we went to the excavation site of Ephesus. The ancient Greeks had a system of clay pipes under their streets in Ephesus so that the warm water would warm the walkway in winter. Too bad that never caught on.

They also had cats. Like lots of cats.

Turkish kitteh is not amuzed.

These are not pillars. Just more writing on the stone.

Many people think that this is the temple of Emperor Hadrianus with a carving of Medusa on the top. But others think this is actually the first Starbucks. Take a closer look...

At Ephesus, like in all good Greek cities, they have a theater.

Turkish Kitteh says don't buy da genuine watches. Dey is fake.

It's okay - the Turks are really honest. They let you know that their genuine watches are fake.

I mean, I got a fake, fake watch one time, and it was really disappointing.

If you are ever in Turkey, and after you buy your genuine fake watch, be sure to try the fresh-squeezed pomegranate juice. It's really tangy and really good!

You can always find a Taxi in Turkey as long as you know what you are looking for. Because they do not have the letter X in Turkish, you have to take a "Taksi."
